Design Process
To address the challenges faced by students during the decision-making process, a user-centered approach was adopted. The project followed the Double Diamond Design Process, beginning with in-depth research to understand the pain points and preferences of students. Surveys, interviews, and persona development revealed the need for advanced search capabilities, clear comparison tools, and detailed yet digestible college profiles.
Wireframes and prototypes were then developed to visualize the platform’s structure and functionality. The design emphasized a clean layout with intuitive navigation to ensure a seamless experience across devices. Usability testing with students and counselors helped refine the platform, incorporating their feedback into iterative improvements. Finally, a comprehensive design system was created to guide development, ensuring consistency and alignment throughout.
