The ELD project was driven by a need to simplify mandatory compliance and reporting processes for commercial drivers. I focused on creating a user-friendly interface that enables accurate mileage tracking, seamless log updates, and real-time notifications for hours-of-service limits. By analyzing driver workflows and common user pain points, the design solution streamlines complex data inputs into quick, intuitive steps.
A key success factor in this project was harmonizing regulatory requirements with an engaging and simple user experience. Early prototypes showcased interactive dashboards and visual cues to reduce driver distraction while on the road. The final design combines safety, compliance, and efficiency, offering a cohesive platform that helps drivers focus on their primary task — driving safely.
